The Story is Us
In 2008, author Elizabeth Levy and I went to New Orleans as part of an ongoing relationship between the PEN Children’s Book Committee and the Martin Luther King School of New Orleans. You can read about that here.

The following year Liz and I returned to the MLK, along with authors Robie Harris and Fatima Shaik. Our mission: help students make a book. Students, teachers, and authors worked hard, laughed a lot, and had an absolutely fabulous time. Read more about that visit here.
The result was The Story is Us! The book is available on Amazon.com, and the profits help support this continuing PEN program.
